Valhalla is an open-source routing engine and accompanying libraries for use with OpenStreetMap data. It provides turn-by-turn routing, map matching (snapping noisy GPS traces to the road/path network), time+distance matrices, isochrones and elevation lookups over a self-built tile graph. Commonly run as a self-hosted routing backend so that location data never has to be sent to a third party.

Dans le shell du nœud Proxmox. Exécutez cette commande dans le shell du nœud Proxmox, pas dans une VM. Lisez le script d'abord.

Générateur : préparer la commande avec vos réglages

Remplissez seulement ce que vous voulez changer. Les valeurs vides gardent le réglage par défaut du script.

Tutoriel pas à pas

De l'interface de Proxmox jusqu'à la première connexion, pour Valhalla.

  1. Ouvrez l'interface de Proxmox dans votre navigateur et connectez-vous.

  2. Dans l'arbre de gauche, cliquez sur votre nœud, puis sur « Shell ».

  3. Vérifiez que le nœud a la place pour ce conteneur : 6 cœurs, 6 Go de mémoire, 24 Go de disque.

  4. Copiez cette commande, collez-la dans le shell et appuyez sur Entrée.

  5. À la question « Use Default Settings? », répondez oui pour garder les réglages par défaut. Répondez non pour choisir vous-même l'identifiant, l'adresse, le disque ou le réseau.

  6. Attendez la fin de l'installation : le script affiche l'adresse du conteneur.

  7. Ouvrez http://ADRESSE-IP:8002 dans votre navigateur, en remplaçant ADRESSE-IP par l'adresse affichée.

  8. Pour entrer dans le conteneur : sélectionnez-le dans Proxmox, puis « Console ». La session root s'ouvre sans mot de passe.

  9. Pour mettre à jour plus tard : tapez update dans la console du conteneur.

  10. Le fichier de configuration se trouve ici : /opt/valhalla_data/valhalla.json

À savoir

  • Installed by compiling from source (no prebuilt package exists), which takes roughly 20-45+ minutes depending on CPU/RAM.
  • No routing tiles are built during install. Find your region's extract at https://download.geofabrik.de/ (browse to a continent, then country/region, and copy the .osm.pbf download link), then build the graph with: /opt/valhalla_data/build-tiles.sh {pbf-url-1} {pbf-url-2}. Avoid planet-wide data unless the container is sized for it.
  • build-tiles.sh rebuilds the graph from only the extracts passed in that run, so running it again for another region does not accumulate regions. To cover multiple regions, pass all their URLs/paths in one run (they are all forwarded to valhalla_build_tiles) or merge the PBFs first with 'osmium merge'.
  • The HTTP API on port 8002 has no authentication - keep it on a private/internal network.
  • To use this as the map-matching backend for GeoPulse, set GEOPULSE_TIMELINE_MAP_MATCHING_ENABLED=true, GEOPULSE_TIMELINE_MAP_MATCHING_PROVIDER=valhalla and GEOPULSE_TIMELINE_MAP_MATCHING_VALHALLA_BASE_URL=http://<this-container-IP>:8002 on the GeoPulse backend.
  • The default 24GB disk / 6144MB RAM only covers the build. Routing tiles need several times the compressed extract size in free disk, so resize the container before building tiles for large regions.
