  • Two web interfaces: TeslaMate on port 4000 (sign in with your Tesla account there) and Grafana on port 3000 with the TeslaMate dashboards. The Grafana credentials admin/admin must be changed on first login.

TeslaMate is a self-hosted data logger for Tesla vehicles. It records drives, charges, battery health, efficiency and vehicle updates into PostgreSQL and visualizes everything through a set of prebuilt Grafana dashboards, with optional MQTT publishing for home automation.

Configuration : /opt/teslamate.env

Dans le shell du nœud Proxmox. Exécutez cette commande dans le shell du nœud Proxmox, pas dans une VM. Lisez le script d'abord.

Générateur : préparer la commande avec vos réglages

Remplissez seulement ce que vous voulez changer. Les valeurs vides gardent le réglage par défaut du script.

Tutoriel pas à pas

De l'interface de Proxmox jusqu'à la première connexion, pour TeslaMate.

  1. Ouvrez l'interface de Proxmox dans votre navigateur et connectez-vous.

  2. Dans l'arbre de gauche, cliquez sur votre nœud, puis sur « Shell ».

  3. Vérifiez que le nœud a la place pour ce conteneur : 2 cœurs, 4 Go de mémoire, 16 Go de disque.

  4. Copiez cette commande, collez-la dans le shell et appuyez sur Entrée.

  5. À la question « Use Default Settings? », répondez oui pour garder les réglages par défaut. Répondez non pour choisir vous-même l'identifiant, l'adresse, le disque ou le réseau.

  6. Attendez la fin de l'installation : le script affiche l'adresse du conteneur.

  7. Ouvrez http://ADRESSE-IP:4000 dans votre navigateur, en remplaçant ADRESSE-IP par l'adresse affichée.

  8. Connectez-vous avec le compte admin et le mot de passe admin, puis changez tout de suite le mot de passe.

  9. Pour entrer dans le conteneur : sélectionnez-le dans Proxmox, puis « Console ». La session root s'ouvre sans mot de passe.

  10. Pour mettre à jour plus tard : tapez update dans la console du conteneur.

  11. Le fichier de configuration se trouve ici : /opt/teslamate.env

À savoir

  • TeslaMate has no authentication of its own. Your Tesla API tokens are stored in it, so never expose port 4000 to the internet without putting an authenticating reverse proxy in front of it.
  • A local Mosquitto broker is installed and TeslaMate publishes to it on 127.0.0.1. Point your home automation at port 1883, or set DISABLE_MQTT=true in /opt/teslamate.env if you do not need it.
  • ENCRYPTION_KEY in /opt/teslamate.env encrypts the stored Tesla tokens - losing it means re-authenticating every vehicle. Set TZ to your local timezone for correct drive and charge timestamps. Vehicle data lives in the PostgreSQL database 'teslamate'.
  • Built from source with Elixir/Phoenix - the initial build takes several minutes.

The vehicle display order can now be edited on the settings page, a new dashboard shows historical temperatures, and we use the latest Grafana (13.2.2).
When a car is assigned to the Tesla account while TeslaMate is running, you no longer need to restart TeslaMate: a reload button starts logging the car.
The geo-fence links in the Grafana dashboards now open in the same tab, so the Back button returns to the dashboard and the Grafana URL is detected automatically again.
