Console et SSH
Console du conteneur dans l'interface Proxmox : compte root, connexion automatique sans mot de passe. Le SSH de root n'est ouvert que si vous l'avez demandé à l'installation.

  • The web UI is exposed without a password by default (auth: none) and binds to 0.0.0.0:8680. For anything reachable beyond a trusted LAN, set a password — edit /root/.config/code-server/config.yaml to add password: <your-password> (or auth: password), then systemctl restart code-server@root. Consider fronting it with an authenticating reverse proxy.
  • Optional Home Assistant Ingress: expose code-server inside the HA sidebar with HA-session auth (no separate login, no exposed port). Requires the hass_ingress HACS integration (https://github.com/lovelylain/hass_ingress). Enable at install with var_hass_ingress=yes bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/oraad/proxmox-scripts/main/ct/code-server.sh)" (or answer yes to the prompt). This disables code-server's own auth (HA becomes the auth boundary) and writes a ready-to-paste configuration.yaml snippet to /opt/code-server-ha-ingress.md inside the container.

code-server is a self-hosted Visual Studio Code served over the web, so you can use it from any browser on any device. This script installs the official Debian package natively in an LXC (no Docker) and runs it as a systemd user service on port 8680.

Configuration : /root/.config/code-server/config.yaml

Dans le shell du nœud Proxmox. Exécutez cette commande dans le shell du nœud Proxmox, pas dans une VM. Lisez le script d'abord.

Tutoriel pas à pas

De l'interface de Proxmox jusqu'à la première connexion, pour Coder Code Server.

  1. Ouvrez l'interface de Proxmox dans votre navigateur et connectez-vous.

  2. Dans l'arbre de gauche, cliquez sur votre nœud, puis sur « Shell ».

  3. Vérifiez que le nœud a la place pour ce conteneur : 2 cœurs, 4 Go de mémoire, 16 Go de disque.

  4. Copiez cette commande, collez-la dans le shell et appuyez sur Entrée.

  5. Attendez la fin de l'installation : le script affiche l'adresse du conteneur.

  6. Ouvrez http://ADRESSE-IP:8680 dans votre navigateur, en remplaçant ADRESSE-IP par l'adresse affichée.

  7. Pour mettre à jour plus tard : tapez update dans la console du conteneur.

  8. Le fichier de configuration se trouve ici : /root/.config/code-server/config.yaml

À savoir

  • code-server ships Debian/Ubuntu .deb packages only, so this install uses the Debian 13 template (unprivileged LXC by default). The Alpine template is not available for this app.
  • Web UI: http://<container-ip>:8680
  • Workspaces live in the logging-in user's home directory. Add a non-root user inside the LXC and log in as them to sandbox projects, or copy your dotfiles into /root.
  • Update an existing container: run update inside the LXC, or pct exec <CTID> -- update from the Proxmox host. Interactive update shows Silent/Verbose/Cancel, then Update, Remove Unused Packages, or Restart. Unattended (PHS_SILENT=1 or non-TTY) runs a silent app update.
